The BJP lost five out of the eight elections in the aftermath of the formation of the Congress and the JDS alliance government, winning only three of them. <br /> <br />ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಕಾರ ರಚಿಸಲಾಗದೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜನತಾ ಪಕ್ಷ ತೀವ್ರ ಮುಖಭಂಗ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದೀಗ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಮೈತ್ರಿ ಸರಕಾರ ರಚನೆಯಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ನಡೆದ 8 ಚುನಾವಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 5ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸೋತಿದ್ದು, ಕೇವಲ ಮೂರರಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆದ್ದು ಮುಖಭಂಗ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದೆ. <br />
